Baselines

Sometimes you need a fixed state: before a release, for an audit, or to show what changed since the last review.

A baseline is a snapshot of all nodes and links at a point in time.

Tab Baselines → create a baseline, name it (e.g. Release 1.0).

View snapshot: Open a baseline and browse captured elements in a grouped list (by container or type). Select an element to inspect fields, links, and external bindings from the snapshot.

Compare: Compare two baselines or baseline vs. current state. In the Changes tab, review individual changes to elements, links, and bindings; under All nodes, browse the full snapshot with diff markers.

Export: Export a snapshot or comparison as PDF, Excel, or Word, optionally scoped by type and container. Those files are frozen reports for review and archiving, not for re-import. For live project data exchange see Import and export.

Retention: Settings → Data → Baseline retention (Settings & retention).

Useful for formal reviews. Not needed for small spikes yet.
